Ok, I know I have been doing a lot of paper crafting this season but I cannot help it! I created these "cracker-shaped" treat boxes to share some Christmas goodies with my coworkers. I created 2 versions - one with 4 2" sides and the other with 8 1" sides. Both versions begin with a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock as the base. These are perfect for this time of year along with many other occasions!

To start take a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock and score as shown in the following diagrams depending on the number of sides you want.
For the 4-sided version score along the 8 1/2" side at 1/2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2" and 6 1/2". Next score along the 11" side at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 7 1/2", 8 1/2" and 9 1/2".
For the 8-sided version score along the 8 1/2" side at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 6 1/2" and 7 1/2". Next score along the 11" side at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 7 1/2", 8 1/2" and 9 1/2".
Fold along the score lines as shown. Make sure for the 2 1/2" and 8 1/2" score ines you are folding forwards to create the area to tie with ribbon.
For both versions you will need to cut diamond shapes along the 2 1/2" and 8 1/2" score lines. To do this, using a ruler and pencil make marks on the back side along these horizontal score lines in between the vertical score lines. For the 4-sided one make marks 3/4" away from each vertical score line - will give 1/2" in between. For the 8-sided one make marks 3/8" away from each - will give 1/4" in between.
Fold along the vertical score line and using scissors cut from the adjoining score lines to the marks. Repeat for each vertical score line.
One optional step is the use a border punch or decorative scissors along both of the 8 1/2" sides to add some additional decoration to the cracker.
To assemble, place some strong adhesive along the front of the 1/2" tab. Before you adhere this to create the cracker you would want to decorate the side panels. For the 4-sided version you will need 4 pieces of patterned paper 3 3/4" x 1 3/4" and for the 8-sided version you will need 8 pieces that are 3 3/4" x 3/4". Adhere the tab behind the last panel.
Fill with treats and tie closed with some ribbon! I added some stamped images and sentiment banners using the December Stamp of the Month - Christmas Snow Globes. I stamped these with Intense Black Exclusive Ink and colored in with Triblend Markers. To give the snow globe some additional decoration I used a Clear Shimmer Brush to give the look of snow.

This One Sheet Wonder Card Workshop is perfect for creating 10 Thanksgiving cards to create quickly to send some wishes to family and friends. I pulled several pieces together to create these cards - paper from the Cozy Up collection, die cut and stamped images from the Gnomes for Autumn special, and sentiments from the November Stamp of the Month - Thanks a Bunch. Shouting out a very Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! In honor of Mother's Day I am happy to share with you the latest in my Simple To Stunning series of cards. These cards showcase how you can take a card design and with a few additional elements or techniques step it up from a simple design to stunning.

All three cards are based on Sketch #484 from Freshly Made Sketches. You can see this sketch along with other variations on it here.
The first card follows the sketch very simply with a piece of Sage cardstock cut using the Stitched Squares Thin Cuts set. The flower image was stamped on White Daisy cardstock using Intense Black Ink and colored in using Triblend Markers. I stamped the sentiment in black ink on Ballerina cardstock and dovetailed it. I added an additional dovetailed piece of Ballerina using the light side of our two-toned cardstock for some contrast. I added some simple embellishment with Clear Sparkles.
The next card adds a base layer of Blue Belle Cardstock and a circle cut using the Circles Thin Cuts for the stamped flowers.
The final and most stunning card adds some embossing on the Blue Belle cardstock layer using the Spring Blossoms Embossing folder and some additional embellishment using Mink Twine.
These are some simple techniques you can use with any card design to step up your designs to take them from Simple To Stunning!

Spent a snowy day here doing some Valentine's Day crafting. I worked on some cards that I will share with you today as well as treat boxes that I will be sharing in an upcoming post. I used papers from the current Perfect Match special from Close To My Heart along with stamps from the February Stamp of the Month - Doodled Borders and the Months of the Year February sets.
The inspiration for the card came from the current card sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.
To make this card, I cut a 3 1/2" circle from some scrap cardstock and traced around it on my card base using a pencil. I adhered a 3" circle cut from the Perfect Match paper inside the circle. I then used the dotted border stamp from the Stamp of the Month to stamp the border along the pencil line in Candy Apple Exclusive Inks.
A tip for shaping a line stamp into a circle or other shape is to place the shape guide against your stamp block and then align the stamp along the edge of the shape guide. I did this with the dotted border stamp and used the circle I traced as a guide. I then stamped the border and erased the pencil line when the ink was dry.
I die cut some hearts and then adhered them along the dotted circle line. I added 3-D Foam Tape to some to add dimension.

Just finished this layout yesterday during my most recent Scrapbook with me event with my group. I reached into my stash to pull out some retired Dreamin' paper from Close To My Heart along with the February Stamp of the Month to create this layout.
The inspiration for the layout came from this sketch from Basic Grey. You can see this sketch along with others here.
The title was cut on the Cricut and the chevrons were cut with an old punch I had in my stash. I used the February Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart - Doodled Borders to add some stamped elements to some of the strips as well as create the stitched line circles on the layout.
The Doodled Borders stamp set is a fantastic set of 36 images with so many uses for scrapbooking and card making.

Still working on catching up on my scrapbooking at my Scrapbook with me events. At my most recent event I completed this layout for my May 2019 recap pages. I had so much fun working with the Serenity paper and the December Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart in creating this layout.
The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from the Page Maps blog. You can find this sketch along with others here.
I added a photo mat to both pages for some extra color. I created the scallop border for this using 2 1/4" circles that I cut out and adhered to a strip of cardstock. I lined them up on my mat and then trimmed off one side.
I used the zip strip from the paper and a postage stamp style border punch I had in my tool stash to create some of the rick-rack style elements the sketch called for. I used the Mini Stapler to attach the ends of the strips as if they were rick-rack. I die cut the letters for the title using the Classic Alphabet Thin Cuts.
I also used the December Stamp of the Month to create the floral embellishments. I stamped the floral pieces in Intense Black Exclusive Inks and then colored the leaves and flowers with Triblend makers. I fussy cut the flowers out and cut one of the groupings apart to create 2 separate pieces. I added some Blue Belle Glitter Gems for some bling.
