Maine Weekend Title Page Layout

Started to work on layouts from our recent long weekend up in Ogunquit, Maine. The first collection coming out of the new July/August Close To My Heart catalog that will be available starting July 1st is called Cape Cod and as soon as I saw this I knew it would be perfect for these layouts. I am so excited to share a bit of this collection with you today with this title page layout.

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch by Sketch Savvy. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted the 12" x 12" sketch to 8 1/2" x 11" and modified the photo sizes to work with the new layout size. I also only worked with the left side of this sketch for this title page. I fussy cut along the top of the fence area in on the beach fence sticker that came on the sticker sheet from the collection to remove the extra white. The title is die cut using the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts set and I added embellishments from the embellishments pack from the collection. I also added some faux-stitching using a white gel pen and ruler.

S'mores Cookies Layout

I loved working on this layout at Wednesday's Scrapbook with me. I had fun using this paper from the Freshly Baked paper pack in a non-holiday themed layout. 

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Serendipity Sketches. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and modified the photo sizes to fit. I used some pocket scrapbooking cards from my stash for the tags and punched circles. The title was die cut using the Slimline Alphabet Thin Cuts and I added some enamel dots from my stash to embellish the layout.

Cool Cars Layout

On Father's Day we went with Mike to a local car show since it was one of the things he wanted to do. I loved checking out all of the cars there, especially the non-standard ones. I dug deep into my stash and pulled out scraps from the retired More Magical collection for this. The colors and patterns in this collection worked perfect with the photos.

I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and changed the photo sizes to work with the new layout size. The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts set. I die cut the stars and added some lines using a White Gel Pen to add something extra to them. The tags were hand cut.

Summer Lovin' Layout

Fun and quick layout from last week's Scrapbook with me. Definitely a stash buster as I used up most of my retired Central Park collection. I loved working with this paper and the patterns for this layout from a recent scrapbook retreat I was a vendor at.

I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and changed the photo sizes to work with the new format. The Polaroid frame and title words were cut using my Cricut. I added some stickers from the Central Park Compliments along with some enamel dots I had in my stash to embellish the layout.

Project Time Layout

Another layout from a recent Scrapbook with me event. This layout features papers from the April/May/June Mix-In paper pack along with the coordinating cardstock. It was fun to create this layout to document the hard work my husband has been doing to clean out and organize our garage.

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the right and then converted it to 8 1/2" x 11" from 12" x 12". I used 2 patterns from the Mix-In paper pack and added some washi tape, enamel dots and acrylic shapes from my stash to embellish. The title was stamped using the Daisy Alphabet stamp set and Intense Black Ink.

May 2023 Recap Layout

Been pretty busy lately so have not had much time to post my recent Scrapbook with me layouts. Here is a layout that is part of my Monthly Recap series I did during a recent event. I pulled out some retired Veranda paper and cardstock from my stash for this layout from May of 2023.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Even More Scrappin'. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and changed the photo sizes to work with the new layout size. The arrows came from a border punch in my stash and the title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts set. I added some glitter gems from my stash to embellish the layout.

Authentic Layout

This layout comes from the second workshop I taught at this weekend's Ready Set Crop Summer Lovin' retreat. I kept with the Father's Day theme I used for the first workshop with this layout using the Hey Handsome collection that works perfect for Father's Day or any other celebration for those men in our lives.

The layout design came from an older Close To My Heart scrapbooking workshop for the Zoe Collection.

I changed the workshop layout to use the Black cardstock for the base and then added the Mink for the second color. I also stamped the strips along the bottom instead of using Zip Strips for this.

I used the Hey Handsome Scrapbooking Stamp Set + Thin Cuts to create the title label and the embellishments for this layout. I love working with these images and can definitely use the set for other projects.
