Spring Fling Layout

I had a great time at the Ready Set Crop Spring Fling Retreat last weekend - so much fun crafting with lots of friends! One fun thing from the retreat is their Queen of the Crop challenge - everyone gets some papers and embellishments and we are challenged to create something with it during the retreat. I did not get a chance to use mine during the weekend but did use the kit during a recent Scrapbook with me. The papers and embellishments worked perfect for a quick 1-page layout from the weekend!

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Sketch n Scrap I found on Pinterest.

I worked with the papers from the kit for the layout and just added white cardstock for the base. The title also came from the kit and I added some buttons with floss from my stash to finish the layout. I love how well the colors and patterns work with my photos.

RSC Back to School Retreat Layout

Another recent Scrapbook with me completed layout. I dug into my stash of retired Stampin' Up DSP for this layout from the recent Ready, Set, Crop Back to School Retreat weekend. For the past several years I have usually worked these retreat weekends as a vendor so it was a lot of fun to be an actual scrapbooker at this weekend! I got to spend some time with good friends and make some new ones!

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch I found on Pinterest.

I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and changed the photo sizes to work with this layout size. The title was die cut using a set from my stash. I added some faux-stitching to the tops of the banner strips and some flowers and buttons from my stash to complete the layout.

Spring Fling Retreat Layout

I had fun creating this layout today during my recent Scrapbook with me event. I wanted to get this retreat scrapbooked right away and had fun working with the retired Lovely collection for this layout.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog. You can see this sketch along with others here.

The title is die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Alphabet Thin Cuts set. The tag and tab along the side of the left page were die cut using the Tags & Tabs Thin Cuts set. I used some of the stickers from the Lovely Paper Pack to add some additional embellishment.

NES15 Retreat Layout

I have been on a Scrap my Stash kick this week and focusing on the Mix-In paper packs I have in there during this week's Scrapbook with me events. I added another layout to my Retreat Album during Monday's event and finished up some Mix-In papers while working on it.

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Scrapbook Generation. You can see this layout along with many others available for download - Free and for purchase - here.

This layout worked perfect with the scraps of Mix-In papers I had available since the squares are 4" x 4" in size. I also used the scraps to make the pennants in the banner. The layout base pages use Kraft Paper. The title was die cut using the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts set. I matted the right-hand page photos on White Daisy and used a .01 Journaling Pen to draw some faux-stitching in between the photos.

NSD 2021 Retreat Layout

Completed another of my retreat album layouts today during my latest Scrapbook with me event. I am working my way backward in time and dug into my stash of retired Happiness Lives Here to complete this layout. My overall plan is to do a 2 page layout for each weekend retreat and a 1 page layout for day crops and get togethers. I also plan on using the PocketPlus Memory Protectors with the 2 page layouts for the extra pictures.

I added stickers from the collection raised up with some 3-D Foam Tape as embellishments and die cut the title from the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts set. I used a Picture My Life Card from the collection for the journal box.

NES16 Retreat Layout

I am excited to finally get around to starting a scrapbook album for the various scrapbooking and cardmaking events I have been to over the years. I have had this project on the back burner for a long time and with continuing to do my Scrapbook with me events each week I am pretty caught up with my family albums so now is a perfect time to start this project. I am working my way back in time as I do these layouts. Here is the first layout for this album from last year's New England Scrappers Retreat.

This layout was based on this sketch from Scrapbook Challenges. I wish their website was still around but I can still find their sketches like this one on Pinterest.

I pulled out my stash of retired Documented papers and embellishments to do this layout. I added some of the chipboard pieces as well as some of the stickers and enamel dots. I die cut the title using the Block Alphabet and Block Numbers Thin Cuts sets.
