Spooky Halloween OSW Card Workshop

I love fall and Halloween so I was excited to work with the Spooky Halloween Suite from Stampin' Up to create this One Sheet Wonder Card Workshop. I loved working with the colors from this suite. It is fun to work with some not-so-traditional colors for the holiday.

This workshop creates 10 cards from 1 12"x12" sheet of double-sided patterned paper plus the coordinating cardstock. As always I am sharing the cutting diagram for the patterned paper here with you. The cardstock cutting diagrams and card sketches are available with purchase of the workshop digital files.

This is the cutting diagram for the patterned paper.

These are the 10 card designs you will be able to create with this workshop.

If you are interested in creating this workshop for yourself or with your customers, there are 4 ways to get the files:

1. Place a $35 or more Stampin' Up purchase from me (before taxes and shipping).

2. Purchase the workshop digital files directly (no qualifying website purchase needed). The files are $11.50 USD. Follow the "Buy It Now" link at the bottom of this post.

3. Join my Stampin' Up team, all team members have access to my workshop files FREE.

Other demonstrators are also welcome to order these files in support of their own business. You can use these files to host your own events as long as you follow the terms and conditions listed in the Demonstrator Release included in the  workshop files.

Here is what you will receive with the workshop files:
  • Welcome Page
  • Cutting Guide with directions for cutting the papers needed
  • Card Guide diagrams and color photos of the completed cards
  • Demonstrator Release
  • Social Media image for you to use in promoting the workshop for your customers

Spooky Halloween Mini Album Project and Process Videos

My next Mini Album project is this one featuring the Spooky Halloween suite from Stampin' Up. This 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" album has 4 pages with insets, pockets, folio pockets and lots more and holds over 25 photos. I had so much fun making this album.

You can see the pages of the mini album in the following pictures. I have also included a walkthru video along with my process videos at the end of this post.

I used the Spooky Halloween Suite from Stampin' Up along with medium weight chipboard and medium and heavy weight black cardstock to create this mini album project. You can find a PDF with the supplies list and cutlist by following this link - Supplies and Cutlist.

You can see my Walkthru of the Mini Album in this video from my YouTube Channel.

I did process videos for the creation of the album, pages, and elements of this project. I did not do a video for decorating the album but did include the decorative elements in the Supplies and Cutlist file. I split the process videos for this project into 2 separate videos - creating the mini album and adding the pages, and adding the pockets and other elements to the pages. You can watch each of these videos from my Youtube Channel.

I hope you like this paper crafting project. Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Memories Layout

Had fun creating this layout during a recent Scrapbook with me. With the kids being in their 20s now there are not may opportunities for the typically Halloween activities and pictures. This year both Meghan and Nicole did some Halloween activities with their friends so I was lucky to get pictures of them dressed up. I used the Halloween Memories collection from Stampin' Up.

The inspiration for this layout came from this layout from Rochelle Spears. You can see this sketch and others here.

The sketch was converted from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and I modified the photo size and number of photos to work with the new layout size. All of the elements in this layout including the title came from the Halloween Memories collection. I used a white gel pen for the journaling.

Halloween Card and Treat Holder

It's October now so time to get ready for Halloween. I enjoy this time of year and had fun working with the Stampin' Up Potions and Spells Bundle to create this card and treat holder. I usually give out treats to my coworkers for Halloween as we have a fun time celebrating the holiday where I work.

The card was inspired by this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. You can see this sketch along with others here.

To make the card I used Basic Black as the base. I cut the Basic White layer and used a die from the Stylish Shapes set to die cut the circle from it. I took a piece of Smoky Slate, used the Exposed Brick embossing folder to emboss it and then went over the embossing with Tuxedo Black Ink. I die cut the cauldron, bubbles, and books then stamped them using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. They were colored in using Stampin' Blends. The spill over was die cut from the Festive Glimmer paper.

The treat holder was made by die cutting 2 cauldrons then taking a strip of 3" wide cardstock which I adhered between the 2 die cuts using Tear & Tape adhesive, I die cut and colored the embellishments for the treat holder as I did with the card and added them on both sides of the cauldron. This makes a cute and fun treat holder that is easy to make and embellish!

I hope you like the card and treat holder! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween Layout

With my kids both being grown up and not into Halloween and trick or treating anymore I usually don't have many photos from the holiday. Luckily for me where Meghan and I both work really gets into the spirit of Halloween. Most everyone there dresses up for Halloween and brings in LOTS of food to eat! I was glad to be able to use some of the I Want Candy collection for this layout from our work celebration.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Serendipity Sketches I found on Scrapbook.com. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and modified the photo sizes to work with this format. I changed one of the photos out for a journaling box on the right hand page. I used White Daisy for the base pages and added some splatters to it using Royal Exclusive Inks and a Waterbrush. The page is embellished using stickers from the collection.

Witch's Broom Treat Bags and a Tutorial

Halloween is always a fun time for me as I enjoy coming up with a new way to share some treats with my coworkers. We do a celebration at work on Halloween each year - dressing up, bringing in food, as well as some treats. This year I decided to make these Witch's Broom Treat Bags and decorate them with stamped images from the I Want Candy Special from Close To My Heart.

I will walk you through the steps below. I am also including a link to my process video at the end of this post.

For the treat bag you will need 2 small kraft bags, a straw (or twig), some ribbon, some stamped images or other embellishments, and, of course, candy to fill it!

The first step is to open up and flatten one of the 2 kraft bags as shown. Make sure to fold the bottom corners in. Cut short cuts in the bag that you did not open up along the top and about 2" down. Cut long cuts in the bag you opened up from the top down to the fold line for the bag bottom.

Open up the bag with the short cuts and fill it with candy. I recommend not filling it anymore that half-way full so it can be tied neatly. Insert this bag into the bag with the long cuts.

Insert a straw into the bag and tie the cuts from the outer bag up around the inner bag and straw using a piece of ribbon. Add some stamped images for embellishments and you are ready to give this treat bag to someone special!

Here is the link to the process video on my YouTube Channel.
