Where We Went Layout

The next layout from our weekend in the Berkshires. I am trying to keep the layouts fairly simple with this series partly to maximize the use of the paper but also since over the years I am now at the point where I do not scrapbook every photo from an event or trip. I try to chose the ones I like the best and/or the ones with a special meaning.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Citrus Twist. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" since I am working in this format for most of my projects now. I modified the photo sizes from the more square to a rectangular size to work with my photos so I also adjusted the sizing of the mats and patterned paper pieces. The paper comes from the Change of Scenery Workshop kit. The title is a combination of a font cut on my Cricut and some letter stickers from my stash. I added some of the coordinating embellishments from the kit along with some enamel dots from my stash to complete the layout.

Away Layout

Mike and I did a long weekend out in The Berkshires last weekend. We stayed in Lenox and spent the weekend exploring the area. It was fun to have a nice weekend away. I had been holding on to the Change of Scenery Workshop kit from National Scrapbook Month for just this project. Started scrapbooking the pictures from the weekend during Wednesday's Scrapbook with me.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Allison Davis. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" since I am working in this format for most of my projects now. I used a hexagon punch to punch out the hexagons from the patterned paper in the kit along with some coordinating cardstock colors. It took awhile to layout the hexagons to get to the pattern I liked before adhering to the base page. I changed out the 2 3"x4" photos for 1 5"x3 1/2" photo and double matted it to make it stand out. The title comes from the sticker sheet from the kit and the embellishments come from the die cuts in the kit. I did some lines on some of the hexagons using a Black LePen.

Kura Layout

So we did this thing! They opened up a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Framingham and the girls were dying to check it out. It was so much fun! There were 2 levels of the belt - one with the items you can just pick as they go by and the other for items that you special order off of the cool touch screen menu. You place your empty plates in a slot that counts them and when you reach certain numbers there is fun animation that shows on the screen. They even had a robot to deliver our drinks! I could not wait to scrapbook this!

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to keep with the other layouts in our family album.  The paper and stickers are from my stash. The title was die cut using the Slimline Alphabet Thin Cuts set. I added some Clear Sparkles to finish off the layout.

So Sweet Layout

We had not seen an ice cream truck in our neighborhood in so many years that it wasn't just the girls who were happy to see it. We were outside when we heard the same old music we remember from years ago. It was even better in that the same guy was driving the truck and remembered both girls and what they liked from when they were little! I could not wait to scrapbook this!

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Scrapbooks & Cards Today. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to keep with the other layouts in our family album.  I pulled in some papers from my stash of the Flower Shoppe Collection for this. The quatrefoil background was cut on my Cricut and comes from the close To My Heart Artistry Collection. The title and popsicle elements were also cut on the Cricut and come from the Tutti Frutti Digital Art Collection. I love being able to use elements from these digital collections outside of the original collection they were designed for!

Wine & Dine Layout

Had fun creating this layout during Monday's Scrapbook with me event. I have so many random pictures from various dinners out that I wanted to scrapbook and this layout worked perfect for this.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Scrapbooks & Cards Today. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to keep with the other layouts in our family album. I modified the photo sizes as well to work with the new layout size. I also only used the right-hand side of this sketch to make it a 1-page layout from a 2-page sketch. The title uses some letter stickers from my stash and the embellishments are buttons from my stash tied with some embroidery floss. I added the circle designs using a white gel pen.

Best Dad Layout

Finally got around to scrapbooking Father's Day during Wednesday's Scrapbook with me event. I had been holding on to some of the Hey Handsome collection for this layout and love how it came out! This definitely helped me use up my stash of this paper.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch I found on Scrapbook.com. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to keep with the other layouts from the album. I modified the photo sizes to work with the new layout size. I did keep the main circle element fairly close to the original size. The title comes from some acrylic letters and letter stickers from my stash. I colored the acrylic letters using a Triblend marker. I love using these markers and white acrylic shapes to customize them to work with any layout. I added some hand stitching and used an old tool from my stash to create the stitching holes. The remaining embellishments came from my stash.

July 2023 Monthly Recap Layout

Completed the next layout in my Monthly Recap series during Monday's Scrapbook with me event. I was surprised when I looked through my pictures from July that I didn't have any specific to the 4th of July. That being said I still kept with a red, white and blue color theme for the monthly recap. The Hello Darlin' collection worked perfect for this.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Scrap Much. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to keep with the other layouts in our family album. I modified the photo sizes as well to work with the new layout size. The title uses some acrylic letters from my stash. The embellishments are also from my stash. I really like the clean lines of this sketch and can see using it for other layouts!
