Meghan's 26th Birthday Layout

Another layout from last week's Scrapbook with me events. This one if from Meghan's 26th birthday dinner out. As usual they picked our favorite local sushi place - Yama Zakura. This was a fun layout to do and worked great for using up some more of my stash of Stampin' Up paper. This layout used paper from the retired Moroccan suite.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

The sketch was converted from 12"x12" to 8 1/2" x 11" for my album size. The photo sizes were changed to work with different layout size. The title numbers were die cut using a set from my stash. I didn't use any other embellishments with this layout due to the busyness of the patterns I chose to work with.

February 2024 Monthly Recap Layout

Catching up on some 2024 layouts during my Scrapbook with me events. Completed this layout last week and used up my stash of Florence paper for this one. Loved how the colors and patterns in this paper worked with the photos from February.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

The sketch was converted from 12"x12" to 8 1/2" x 11" for my album size. The photo sizes and number of photos were changed to work with different layout size. The title was cut on my Cricut with an image file I found. I added some pennant banners and buttons for embellishment on the layout.

Just a Trim Layout

I didn't realize how long it had been since Nicole last had her hair cut until she went to get it done recently. I know for the years she did dance we kept it long to make it easier to wrap up into a bun but since then she really has not had it cut. I think she had at least 12" taken off this time. I love the look of it at her shoulders!

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Rochelle Spears. You can see this sketch along with others here.

This sketch worked great for using up more of my stash of the Skylark collection. I modified the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" for my current album size. I also changed the sizing of the photos. I added some additional color to the base White Daisy page using Lagoon Exclusive Ink and a blending brush. The title is a combination of die cut letters and some small letter stickers from my stash. The twine, enamel dots, and sparkles are all from my stash.

Lead The Way Layout

I completely understand how my husband feels when he follows me around a craft store for what seems like hours after going with him to a local home improvement store! I just took a few pictures of him checking out the tool section and knew I wanted to scrapbook this!

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Alison Davis. You can see this sketch along with others here.

The sketch was changed from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to work with my current album size. I changed the sizes of the photos to work with the changed layout size and changed the number of strips as well. The layout uses papers from the retired True Gentlemen DSP pack from Stampin' Up. The embellishment clusters are stamped using the retired Nailed It stamp set from Stampin' Up. I stamped the images in Memento Ink and then colored in using alcohol markers. The title is a combination of die cut letters and small letter stickers from my stash. I finished off the layout by adding some faux-stitching using a ruler and black marker and added some enamel dots as well.

Studio Ghibli Layout

During the time I was recovering from my shoulder surgery Meghan and I started watching a lot of the Studio Ghibli movies together. We both have always appreciated the animation and artwork in these Japanese anime movies. There are 22 in all but we only watched 7 of them. I loved doing this with Meghan and we enjoyed figuring out which actors we knew of that were doing the voice-overs for the movies - like Christian Bale in Howl's Moving Castle. I was excited to be able to create a layout of our movie time during a recent Scrapbook with me.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Traci Reed Designs. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I changed up the sketch in a few ways. I first converted it from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" for my current album format. I also changed the photo sizes and went from 2 photo mat strips to just one due to the sizes of my photos. I did change the placement of the title to work more with my photo strip. I went out of the box with this one and used some papers from the retired I Want Candy collection from Close To My Heart for this. It was fun using Halloween themed papers for a non-Halloween layout but I found the colors and patterns from these papers worked perfect with the bright colors in the photos without detracting from them. The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts. I created the "film strip" look using a border punch from my stash and the embellishments came also from the I Want Candy collection.

To create the rolled paper I tore a couple of places on the right-hand side of the paper and rolled back, securing the rolls using Glue Dots to keep them in place.

Since we did watch 7 movies in total and I wanted to keep this to a 1-page layout I added some Flip Flaps to work in the extra photos. I typed up the titles of the movies using the Project Life App on my iPhone and then printed them using my Epson Picturemate PM-400 printer. I love being able to quickly print journaling using this printer and to be able to use regular cardstock in this printer.

Game Night Layout

I had so much fun creating this layout yesterday during my Scrapbook with me event. I was excited to dig into the Stampin' Up products I received in my Starter Kit. This layout is from a recent Game Night we did here to use an escape room board game Nicole received for Christmas.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Sketch Savvy. You can see this sketch along with others here

I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to work with my current album layout size. I also changed the sizes of the photos in the layout. I combined papers from the Country Woods and Country Lace DSP paper packs along with Petal Pink Ribbon and some Smoky Slate pearls. The title was cut using a file on my Cricut.

Pizza...Pizza Layout

Another layout from last week's Scrapbook with me events. We have started to try making our own pizzas recently and have been having fun experimenting with dough, sauces, and toppings. This layout was fun to do using up more of my Memory Lane collection in my stash.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Pinterest.

The sketch was converted from 12"x12" to 8 1/2" x 11" for my album size. I converted the size of the photos along with the number of photos to work with my layout. The title was die cut with a set from my collection. The embellishment clusters are a combination of punched circles, stickers, and sparkles from my stash.
