March 2017 Recap Layout

This layout is another in my Monthly Recap series of layouts done during a recent Scrapbook with Me event. I had fun doing this layout pulling some retired Avonlea paper from my stash. I combined the paper with some paper flowers and buttons and love how this came out!

This layout was inspired by this sketch from Even More Scrapping. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I changed the pictures on the right-hand page to be portrait instead of landscape and used the paper flowers instead of stars. The Avonlea paper worked so perfect for these pictures from March. I used the Simple Serif Uppercasse Thin Cuts to die cut the title.

February 2017 Recap Layout

I had so much fun creating this Monthly Recap layout during a recent Scrapbook with Me event. I pulled out some of this Heart Happy collection from Close To My Heart. The papers from this collection were perfect for a February layout with the subtle colors and fun geometric patterns.

This layout was inspired by this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Thin Cuts Uppercase set. I added some Flip Flaps on the right-hand page to add some additional photos to the layout.

Meghan's 19th Birthday Layout

We have a family tradition of going out to dinner for a birthday and the birthday person gets to pick the restaurant we go to. Both of my girls usually pick a local sushi place to go to. They have both been enjoying the food there for a long time.

This layout was inspired by this sketch from Stick It Down. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I had fun working with this collection from Photoplay that I had in my stash. I loved the combination of teals, pinks, yellows and blues combined with the non-traditional Asian images.

May 2107 Recap Layout

I have definitely been having fun working with the Isabella Collection from Close To My Heart. At one of my recent Scrapbook with Me events I used some of my remaining scraps from this collection to create this layout.

The inspiration for this layout came from this 1-page sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. You can see this sketch along with others here.

To convert this 1-page sketch into a 2-page layout I extended the 2 pieces of patterned paper to the right edge of the page and then mirrored the left page on the right side.

The title and journal blocks were die cut using the Fancy Stitched Brackets Thin Cut set. I added some faux-stitching to the title block using a black journal pen. The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cut set. I also added some additional bling to the layout using Clear Sparkles.

Throwback Thursday - November 2018 Recap Layout

Another fun monthly recap layout done using some wonderful older papers from my stash! I love being able to catchup on my scrapbooking doing these Monthly Recap layouts during my Scrapbook with me sessions!

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Scrapbook and Cards Today. You ca see this sketch along with others here.

For this recap of November 2018 I pulled out some of the retired Pathfinding and Timber papers. I also added some stamping for the title using the retired November Word Puzzle stamp set. The wood embellishments were colored using some ink and a dauber.

June 2021 Recap Layout

Sharing another in my Monthly Recap Layout series. This layout features the retired Eat Play Love paper from Close To My Heart. I love how versatile this paper is even for non-food related scrapbook layouts. I used minimal patterned paper - just 1 sheet of double-sided paper and some cardstock for this.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from a blog I found through Pinterest. You can see this sketch along with others here.

Since I used White Daisy cardstock for my base pages I knew I would need to do a little something to the background to tone down some of the white space. I used Lagoon Exclusive Ink and a sponge to add  some color then used a Medium Round Waterbrush and Nectarine Exclusive Inks to add some splatters. I also added some faux-stitching around the circle elements and some of the stars using a black marker. I used Thin 3-D Foam tape with the title that was die cut using the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts set along with some of the punched chevrons.
