July 2022 Monthly Recap Layout and a Process Video

Excited to share another layout in my series of Monthly Recap layouts. I completed this layout during a recent Scrapbook with me event and am very happy with how this came out. The layout features the Four Seasons: Summer collection from Close To My Heart. I am in love with the Four Seasons paper packs with the variety of patterns and colors available.

I have included a link to the Scrapbook Process Video to go along with this layout at the end of the post so you can see my process.

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Basic Grey and Susan Stringfellow. You can see this sketch along with others here.

For my 2022 album I am working in an 8 1/2" x 11" format so I have been reworking the elements of each sketch to fit an 8 1/2" x 11" page. The height stays pretty close to the same, I just rework the width of the pieces as well as the photos.

The title for this layout comes from an SVG file available from Close To My Heart. The circles were die cut using the Circles Thin Cuts set and the large circle was done using a circle template and a white gel pen. The journal strips use the Journaling Sticker Strips which I have been loving using.

For more details and a walkthrough of this layout check out this process video on my YouTube Channel.

Rudesheim Coffee Layout and a Process Video

I am excited to share this scrapbook layout with you today as it is the first from one of my Scrapbook with me events that I have been able to include a process video for. I have been asked before if I do videos of my Scrapbook with me events to share to those who cannot attend. Since these take place over Zoom and I did not want to record everyone it took me a few tries and a little figuring out to be able to do it but I am happy to say that I am able to share process videos for the layouts I create during my Scrapbook with me events.

The layout I am sharing today is another layout from my Rhine River Trip album. This one is for a fun (and tasty) Rudesheim coffee demonstration done onboard the ship. We enjoyed learning how to make this coffee and trying it along with some yummy treats.

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch by Brenda Ragsdale. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I am continuing to use the Hope and Kindness Collection for this trip album. I used up some scraps for the patterned paper elements and used one of the papers from the coordinating cardstock pack for the base page. The title comes and some of the embellishments come from the die cuts from the collection. I added a die cut hexagon shape I had in my stash from an earlier layout. I tend to die cut more geometric shapes than I need when I work on a layout and always save them for using later. The chevrons come from a border punch I have and I did the faux-stitching with a black .01 pen and a circle template and ruler. You can see how I created this layout in the process video at the end of this post.

For more details and a walkthrough of this layout check out this process video on my YouTube Channel.

I hope you like the layout. Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Baked and a New Catalog

It is now October and I am in love with this time of year. Here in New England the weather is getting colder and the leaves are changing color all over! With the start of October I have a new catalog from Close To My Heart to share with you. The October/November/December catalog is full of so many wonderful products that are perfect for this time of year!

The first collection from this new catalog is the Freshly Baked collection. This collection is full of fun images for all of the sweet treats that come with the upcoming holidays. The scrapbooking and cardmaking options with this are perfect for memories of holiday baking with family and friends.

As always Close To My Heart gives some great options for a collection in their catalogs! There are 2 choices for the paper pack - each pack has 6 sheets, 2 each of 3 double-sided designs, you can choose the pack by itself or with a coordinating sticker sheet. In addition to the paper pack there is also a Coordinating Cardstock pack, Enamel Dots, Picture My Life Cards and a Digital Art Collection. If you are also into stamping this collection also offers a scrapbooking stamp set and a cardmaking stamp set.

In addition to the paper packs, stamp sets and embellishments, there are also 2 workshop kits available with this collection. Each workshop kit features exclusive elements that are only available through the kit. Exclusive patterned papers and die cuts in the scrapbooking workshop kit and an exclusive stamp set with coordinating Thin Cuts in the cardmaking kit.

I hope you are in love with this collection as much as I am! I cannot wait to craft with this collection and am looking forward to sharing the results with you!
