Never Too Old Layout

I had fun creating this layout during a recent Scrapbook with me event. I have found that since I have switched to 8 1/2" x 11" format for my 2022 Family Album I am creating more single photo layouts and documenting these fun events that they are from.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Sketch Savvy that I found on Pinterest. You can see this sketch along with others here. This was another 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" sketch conversion.

I dug into my stash and used up some retired Blossom paper for this layout. I loved working with the geometric patterns from this collection for this. The title was die cut using the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts set with some letter stickers from my stash added in. I created the faux-stitching using a black .01 pen and then also traced a circle template twice with an offset using the black .01 pen. I added a few stickers from the Blossom collection along with some phrase pieces from a Zip Strip to embellish the layout.

Family Time

I am in love with the Stamp of the Month for November from Close To My Heart. The Family Time stamp set is perfect for card making and scrapbooking. The 18 images in this stamp set work well with thank you cards, family scrapbook layouts as well as the Thanksgiving holiday.

I used this stamp set to create our family's Thanksgiving card this year. I based it on a sketch from the Make It From Your Heart Volume 4 How-To book along with some scraps from our Hawthorn collection and some gold sequins for embellishment.

Weekend Fun!

Just got to say I am thankful to my family and friends for supporting what I do! Crazy, busy weekend last weekend but had so much fun! I got to spend the day Saturday scrapbooking with some wonderful ladies as I kicked off what will hopefully be monthly day crops at my house. On Sunday the girls and I got to celebrate Mike! So thankful for such a wonderful husband and fantastic father to our girls. We followed our family tradition of breakfast in bed and then the girls helped me make him dinner of his choice in the evening - his choice being filet and scalloped potatoes. Yum! After dinner we all went to enjoy some ice cream at one of our local places. So much fun!
