January 2019 Recap Layout

I completed this layout today during my latest Scrapbook with me event and am excited to share it with you. I am still working on catching up on my scrapbooking projects with doing monthly recap layouts and this one is for January of 2019. This layout uses papers from the January/February Mix-In paper pack and coordinating cardstock.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Scrapbook and Cards Today. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I added some Opaque Matte texture paste to the Avocado cardstock on each page using the small dot pattern from Stencil Pack #4 from Close To My Heart.

The title was cut on the Cricut. Instead of bling or enamel dots, as shown in the sketch, I used some baker's twine for the lines on the layout. I substituted rings of patterned paper for the bling circles. I added a bit of bling using Platinum Stickles Glitter Glue.

August 2020 Recap Layout

My final monthly recap layout for 2020! I have been jumping around doing my layouts with my Scrapbook with me sessions so I didn't realize until last weekend that I missed the month of August from 2020. It was so much fun to create this layout using the paper, cardstock and stamps from the Blossom collection from Close To My Heart. This popular pack was brought back for a short time and will be available through the end of February. You can see all the elements of this special here.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from ShopScrapMuchBlogspot. You can see this sketch along with others here.

The title came from a Cricut cut. To give it some dimension I cut it 1 time from Green Apple cardstock and then again from Lagoon cardstock and adhered them together with a slight offset.

I stamped some flowers from the Cherished Blossoms stamp set that is part of the Blossom special. I used Green Apple, Lagoon and Nectarine Exclusive inks for these.

November 2020 Recap Layout

Getting back into my Scrapbook with me events after taking a break for the holidays and end of 2020. So happy to see everyone back with me so start of 2021 right! I created this monthly recap layout using up pretty much the very last scraps of my Serenity paper, stickers and Picture My Life cards.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Scrapbook and Cards Today. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I cut the title using my Cricut and cut the small banners from scraps of paper and Picture My Life cards I had leftover in my Serenity stash. The banners are all 1/2" wide and dovetail cut to various heights. I used my sewing machine to do some stitching across the tops of the rows of banners. I use my regular sewing machine to do this but with a needle dedicated to stitching on paper. I clean the needle off in between with some rubbing alcohol to remove any adhesive residue. I pull any thread through to the backside of the layout and tack down with some adhesive.

Happiness Lives Here One-Sheet-Wonder Card Workshop

Welcome to 2021! I am so happy to start the new year and am excited to share this new One-Sheet-Wonder Card Workshop that is perfect for easily creating 12 cards. I created this workshop around the Featured Paper for the month of January - Happiness Lives Here. The colors and images of this set were so much fun to work with and they work so well for many occasions. 

I cut the large floral patterned paper from the Happiness Lives Here Pack using the following cutting diagram. I used the Zip Strip from the paper  

I used the Happiness Lives Here Cardmaking Stamp Set + Thin Cuts to create the sentiments and star elements on each card. I also added some Clear Sparkles to the cards for some bling.
