Happy Halloween Layout

With my kids both being grown up and not into Halloween and trick or treating anymore I usually don't have many photos from the holiday. Luckily for me where Meghan and I both work really gets into the spirit of Halloween. Most everyone there dresses up for Halloween and brings in LOTS of food to eat! I was glad to be able to use some of the I Want Candy collection for this layout from our work celebration.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Serendipity Sketches I found on Scrapbook.com. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and modified the photo sizes to work with this format. I changed one of the photos out for a journaling box on the right hand page. I used White Daisy for the base pages and added some splatters to it using Royal Exclusive Inks and a Waterbrush. The page is embellished using stickers from the collection.

October 2023 Monthly Recap Layout

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday! We have had a day filled with lots of food and family here. Now that things have quieted down a bit I am working on catching up on sharing some of my recent scrapbooking work. I did this layout during Monday's Scrapbook with me as part of my monthly recap series of layouts. I pulled some of my remaining papers from The Good Life collection for this.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Alison Davis for Scrapbook Generation. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and from a 1-page to a 2-page layout. I modified the photo sizes as well to work with the new layout size. The title was die cut using an alphabet set from my stash. I added some dots using the new Color of the Year - Journey to embellish the layout.

Tougas Layout

Working on catching up on some of my scrapbook projects. Completed this layout during Monday's Scrapbook with me event. Every fall we go to a local orchard to pick apples - mainly for the pies I bake but also for eating. We went over Columbus Day weekend and had a great time at the orchard. I used up my scraps of the Cozy Up Collection in creating this layout.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Citrus Twist. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to keep with the other layouts in my family album. I modified the photo sizes as well to work with the new layout size.  The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Alphabets Thin Cuts set. I added some stickers and embellishments from the collection to embellish the layout.

Cozy Up OSW Card Workshop

With getting ready for the upcoming Christmas holiday it is easy to forget about Thanksgiving. This One Sheet Wonder Card Workshop is perfect for creating 10 Thanksgiving cards to create quickly to send some wishes to family and friends. I pulled several pieces together to create these cards - paper from the Cozy Up collection, die cut and stamped images from the Gnomes for Autumn special, and sentiments from the November Stamp of the Month - Thanks a Bunch. I even added a couple of Slimline cards to this workshop.

This workshop creates 10 cards from the 1 sheet of patterned paper plus 6 sheets of cardstock.  Ad always I am sharing the cutting diagram for the patterned paper here with you. The cardstock cutting diagrams and card sketches are available with purchase of the workshop digital files.

Pie Time Layout

One of my favorite things to scrapbook is our family traditions. I had so much fun creating this layout during a recent Scrapbook with me. We have a family tradition of making apple pie with the apples we pick at Tougas Farms. I usually make 2 pies - one for home and one for work. I loved working with the Gnomes for Autumn Collection for this.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" since I am working in this format for most of my projects now. I kept the photos pretty close to the sizes in the sketch since it worked for this layout. The title is a combination of die cut letters using the Simple Serif Uppercase Alphabet Thin Cuts and some letter stickers from my stash. The embellishments come from the sticker sheet in the Gnomes for Autumn paper pack along with some of the cork shapes from the special. I added some enamel stars from the Cozy Up collection to complete the layout.

Hear Ye Layout

I am getting back into catching up with our family album layouts since I finished the layouts from my New York City weekend. We recently went to a local renaissance faire with Meghan and Nicole. Both girls dressed the part as they were meeting up with some of Meghan's friends at the faire. Mike and I had been to this before a long time ago so it was fun to go back.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" since I am working in this format for most of my projects now. The photos were converted from 4" x 6" size down to a 3" x 4" size when printed. I trimmed them down a little more to fit with the sketch. I pulled some of the retired Yesterday and Today collection for the paper in this layout. The title was cut on my Cricut using a font I found online. The flowers and buttons came from my stash.

NYC Weekend Eat Layout

This is the final weekend from my New York City weekend with Meghan. Meghan and I try to find new places to eat every time we go into the city.  This layout worked perfect for using up the remaining pieces of the collection I was using for the layouts from the trip.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" since I am working in this format for most of my projects now. I kept the photo sizes fairly close to the sizes from the sketch. I changed the tree embellishment to be a cluster of circles and added some faux stitching on one circle as well as around the center paper mat with a white gel pen. The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Thin Cuts set.
