Graduation Layout

I have been doing a series of Scrapbook with me virtual events with my friends and customers to keep us all motivated during the time of Covid-19 and social isolation. I did this layout during our most recent session as a companion layout to the card I had made for my college graduate, Meghan. Even though her ceremony will be a virtual one we will still be celebrating her achievement and I will be putting this pictures in this layout. You can see the graduation card here.

I worked from a sketch available here on the Close To My Heart Blog.

In keeping with the colors and style of her graduation card I keep with blue and black and repeated the embellishments I used on the card on the layout as well as did some embossing on the title and journaling box mats. I used up some paper from my stash and added some of the new Mix-Ins papers from our latest Close To My Heart Catalog.

As with the card I added some shimmer to the graduation cap and other stamped embellishments using the Clear Shimmer Brush.

I colored in some of the details on the stamped images with our Watercolor pencils and used our small watercolor brush to blend the color.

I hope you liked the layout. Thanks for stopping by.
