I thought that it was fitting, since I was going back in time to January of 2017, to pull some paper from my stash for this recent Monthly Recap Layout I did during a recent Scrapbook with me event. I pulled out some paper from the retired Stella Collection along with some miscellaneous enamel dots from other various retired packs.
The inspiration for this layout came from this 1-page sketch from Sketch N Scrap Blog. You can see this sketch along with others here.
To convert this 1-page sketch into a 2-page layout I first mirrored the circles and banner elements on the left-hand page. I then used the sketch itself for the right-hand page. Since I was working with more photos I changed the size of each photo block on the 2 pages.
The month title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts set. The circles were done using various circle cutters and punches from my stash of tools. I added some enamel dots and punched chevrons for some additional embellishment.
