Excited to share another layout in my series of Monthly Recap layouts. I completed this layout during a recent Scrapbook with me event and am very happy with how this came out. The layout features the Four Seasons: Summer collection from Close To My Heart. I am in love with the Four Seasons paper packs with the variety of patterns and colors available.
I have included a link to the Scrapbook Process Video to go along with this layout at the end of the post so you can see my process.
The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Basic Grey and Susan Stringfellow. You can see this sketch along with others here.
For my 2022 album I am working in an 8 1/2" x 11" format so I have been reworking the elements of each sketch to fit an 8 1/2" x 11" page. The height stays pretty close to the same, I just rework the width of the pieces as well as the photos.
The title for this layout comes from an SVG file available from Close To My Heart. The circles were die cut using the Circles Thin Cuts set and the large circle was done using a circle template and a white gel pen. The journal strips use the Journaling Sticker Strips which I have been loving using.

I am excited to share this scrapbook layout with you today as it is the first from one of my Scrapbook with me events that I have been able to include a process video for. I have been asked before if I do videos of my Scrapbook with me events to share to those who cannot attend. Since these take place over Zoom and I did not want to record everyone it took me a few tries and a little figuring out to be able to do it but I am happy to say that I am able to share process videos for the layouts I create during my Scrapbook with me events.
The layout I am sharing today is another layout from my Rhine River Trip album. This one is for a fun (and tasty) Rudesheim coffee demonstration done onboard the ship. We enjoyed learning how to make this coffee and trying it along with some yummy treats.
The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch by Brenda Ragsdale. You can see this sketch along with others here.
I am continuing to use the Hope and Kindness Collection for this trip album. I used up some scraps for the patterned paper elements and used one of the papers from the coordinating cardstock pack for the base page. The title comes and some of the embellishments come from the die cuts from the collection. I added a die cut hexagon shape I had in my stash from an earlier layout. I tend to die cut more geometric shapes than I need when I work on a layout and always save them for using later. The chevrons come from a border punch I have and I did the faux-stitching with a black .01 pen and a circle template and ruler. You can see how I created this layout in the process video at the end of this post.

It is now October and I am in love with this time of year. Here in New England the weather is getting colder and the leaves are changing color all over! Love this time of year! Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons, especially living here in Massachusetts. I love watching the leaves change color as the weather gets cooler. That is why I could not wait to create this new One Sheet Wonder Card Workshop featuring the Crisp Air Collection. I had so much fun working with the paper and the stamp set in creating these cards!
This workshop creates 12 cards (3 each of 4 designs) from the 1 sheet of patterned paper plus 5 sheets of cardstock. This is the cutting diagram for the patterned paper.
These are the 4 card designs you will be able to create with this workshop.
If you are interested in creating this workshop for yourself or with your customers, there are 4 ways to get the files:
1. Follow the Buy Now link on the bottom of this post. The files are $11.50 (USD).
2. Place a purchase on my Close To My Heart website for $35 or more (before taxes and shipping).
3. Join the VIP Program from Close To My Heart under me. All my VIPS get FREE access to my workshop files.
4. Join my Close To My Heart team, all team members have access to my workshop files.
Continuing the Halloween crafting fun with these cards I made to send to family and friends. The cards feature the Fa-BOO-lous Collection from Close To My Heart. I am enjoying working with this collection and the images and colors in it.
The cards were inspired by this sketch challenge from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog. You can see this sketch along with others here.
I knew I wanted to create several cards at one time so once I pulled out my Fa-BOO-lous paper I started to play with the combinations of patterns to use for the cards. I then cut the pieces of cardstock and patterned paper I needed and die cut the embellishments from the Fa-BOO-lous Stamp Set + Thin Cuts.
I stamped the images using Intense Black Exclusive Ink and colored them in with Triblend Markers.
As I assembled the cards I used some Thin 3-D Foam Tape for a couple of the layers to add dimension and then added some Melon Dots to finish each card.
I hope you like the cards. Thanks for stopping by!
