Technique Thursday #2 - Halloween Cards using a Two-Sheet Wonder

For today's Technqiue Thursday post I am sharing with you some recent cards I made. I had so much fun celebrating National Cardmaking Day last Saturday with my group! We worked on 3 different card making techniques during the day. I will be sharing them with you all here but wanted to start first with this batch of Halloween cards featuring the Got Candy paper pack and the Spooky Gnomes stamp set.

I used a 6x6 (ish) Two-Sheet Wonder Challenge from Mojo Monday to create these cards. The cutting diagram and card sketches from the challenge make 3 cards from 2 6" x 6 1/2" pieces of double sided paper. I doubled the paper and cuts to make 6 cards.

You can find the cutting diagram and sketches here on the Mojo Monday blog along with other variations for the cards.

I added some extra embellishment to the cards with some scalloped cardstock pieces as well as some pennants using the Zip-strips from the paper. The Gnomes were stamped using the Intense Black Exclusive Inks and then colored in using the Triblend Markers. I used the Black and Clear Shimmer Brushes to add a little sparkle to the gnomes, bats, moons and stars.

I have been doing a lot of crafting with the Got Candy special and have more planned. Remember that this special is only available through the end of October. Make sure to shop this special today!

I hope you liked the cards. Thanks for stopping by!
