Today's post is the first in a new series - Throwback Thursday. With these posts I will feature a layout or card done using one of the retired collections from Close To My Heart. This layout was done during one of my recent Scrapbook with Me events and features the retired Yesterday and Today collection.
We decided to a day trip to Salem, Massachusetts this week since all four of us had some time off from work. Mike and I had been there before but this was the first time there for Meghan and Nicole. I love how the antique charm of this collection works perfectly with the pictures from the historic sights in Salem.
The inspiration for the layout comes from this sketch from the Even More Scrapbooking blog. I added some strips to the layout using some of the remaining scraps of paper I had in my stash. You can see this sketch along with others here.
The large bracket shape was cut on my Cricut and the title was done using the Block Letters Alphabet Thin Cut set. I added some stickers from the collection along with some Gold Glitter Gems to embellish the layout.
